One of the main goals for anyone managing a YouTube channel is to increase popularity and visibility, also aiming to grow subscribers.
Having a substantial number of followers, while being a vanity metric, still helps improve the channel’s perception in the eyes of new users and potential partners, facilitates collaborations, and contributes to building an active and engaged community.
In this article, we want to explore five methods that can help quickly grow a YouTube channel’s subscribers.
Method 1: Leverage Video Sharing
A fairly common strategy is to make your social channels “talk to each other.” The goal is to bring users from one platform to another.
Did you publish a new video on YouTube? Great: announce it on your other social media too!
This serves:
- as a reminder for those already subscribed to the channel but also follow you elsewhere;
- to intrigue those who only follow you on other social media and may not have discovered you on YouTube yet.
But careful: before posting the link to your new video, use this little trick!
- Copy the link of the video you want to share
- Select a playlist (even one that doesn’t contain the video)
- In the playlist URL there’s a “list=” parameter: copy everything that follows
- Now combine the video link with the playlist parameters using the “&” symbol
Example: video link+&+list=
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=is8v96Nq_dw&list=PLCKVuOe8JRsOfDnvov2xGD3DpWdCawNw1
This way, when someone “clicks the link,” YouTube will show the playlist videos before recommending those from other creators.
It’s a simple but effective trick to occupy more visual space on the end screen and increase the chances that users will continue watching your content.
Method 2: Use the Community Section
An aspect not to be underestimated is the Posts section within each channel. In this space you can publish updates, polls, and generally create interactions with your community.
The Posts section is an excellent way to communicate with your subscribers, for example, about the release of a new video. YouTube is investing heavily in this section, constantly expanding it in terms of visibility and functionality.
Method 3: Add Cards and End Screens
YouTube allows creators to insert cards and an end screen within a video.
Cards appear during video playback, in the upper right, as a clickable notification, and can contain links to other videos, playlists, channels, polls, or approved websites.
The end screen, on the other hand, appears in the final seconds of the video and allows you to promote other videos, invite subscriptions to the channel, highlight playlists or external links (if enabled), keeping the viewer’s attention even after the content ends.
These are two very useful features that in some circumstances can contribute to a channel’s growth!
Method 4: Follow SEO Principles
The fourth “secret” we want to recommend concerns SEO, that is, the set of best practices that help the algorithm push your content more.
Therefore, it’s important to optimize the title, description, and thumbnail for each individual video!

Method 5: Avoid Bad Practices
This last point is more advice than a method to increase a YouTube channel’s subscribers.
Avoid buying likes, subscribers, or interactions in general. They’re useless!
YouTube easily recognizes inauthentic activity and could penalize your channel, reducing its visibility or, in more serious cases, suspending it.
Moreover, those inflated numbers will never lead to a real community, nor to genuine engagement with your content. Better to grow slowly, but in a real and credible way.
