For over 70 years, the Anglo American Book bookstore has been a historic landmark in the center of Rome for English-language readers. Entire generations have come here to buy rare books, special editions, and English-language works ranging from fiction to art, and from design to history.
Pioneer Dino Donati, the bookstore’s founder, has welcomed famous figures over the years, such as Giorgio Napolitano, Leonardo DiCaprio, Mel Brooks, Cher, Alberto Angela, and many others.
His children, Daniele and Cristina, have managed the bookshop for more than 40 years. After various moves and downsizings, they have unfortunately announced that they must close their physical location.

We at ARS have decided to support Anglo American Book with a dedicated communication and promotion project. This bookstore represents not only a piece of history, but an example of how small businesses can be engines of cultural and social value.
We want to make a tangible commitment to preserving culture, reading, and the heritage of valuable commercial activities. We believe that supporting knowledge is a collective duty, and we do so with deep conviction, involving our team in a project that combines great passion and professionalism.
For this reason, this month we are promoting a campaign that not only helps the bookstore clear its shelves with significant discounts, but also aims to preserve its online existence.
With this project, we don’t just want to safeguard a business; we also wish to celebrate the human and cultural value that the bookstore represents.
With the holidays approaching, for this year we have decided that books from Anglo American Book will be our Christmas gifts at ARS.
To all lovers of special English-language books, we strongly suggest you don’t miss this opportunity: by December 30, visit Via della Vite 27, on the first floor; at Anglo American Book you will find rare and beautiful editions at a 30% discount.
We value this project and culture because we believe it should be preserved as an opportunity for the entire community.

Do you have a cultural project to support?
We are ready to support you!
