The daily use of artificial intelligence has now become a reality, and the next challenges among the giants of this sector will be played out on who will best integrate AI into their platforms. Obviously, Google will not be missing in all this.
Currently in testing is a new feature called “AI Mode“, an evolution of traditional search on Google. This model will leverage AI, particularly Gemini 2.0.
In an internal email addressed to employees, Google states: “Search intelligently research[ing] for you – organizing information into easy-to-digest breakdowns with links to explore content across the web.”
Here’s how the new SERP (Search Engine Results Page) of Google will look. AI Mode will be accompanied by traditional options (Images, Videos, News, etc).
There will be a text field at the bottom of the proposed responses “Ask a follow-up question…”, and the Google app on Android and iOS will also offer voice input.

AI Mode is designed for all those exploratory queries that are difficult to find in current search results.
Here are three examples provided by Google itself:
- How many packages of spaghetti should I buy to feed 6 adults and 10 children, having enough for seconds?
- Compare wool, down, and synthetic jackets in terms of insulation, water resistance, and durability.
- What do I need to start aquascaping? Next question: What are some nearby stores to buy the materials?
Certainly, AI Mode will have a significant role in site positioning and SEO logic.
This important innovation could be released by the end of 2025.
What will be the impact of this monumental change?
